These two are a match made in heaven. Seriously. I know that is so cliche, but it’s true. Not only do they love and care for each other unconditionally, but they each have been through a traumatic experience that has left them, each, with only one eye. Yes…you heard me right. They are each blind in one eye. Leanne lost her right eye in a tragic softball accident, and Joe lost his left eye during a paintball mishap. I’ve known Leanne since college, and I remember when she emailed me telling me she was engaged and that I would never believe that the man she was engaged to was also blind in one eye, and that she was afraid I wouldn’t be up to the ‘challenge’ of photographing them and their wandering eyes. I said, ‘Are you KIDDING me? I would LOVE the so called ‘challenge’, and I am honored you thought of me! I wouldn’t miss your big day for the world!’ and then we laughed about the whole situation. They actually joke all the time, because when they face each other, their good eyes are together. This was really funny during their shoot, because they would be like, ‘oh crap…we aren’t on our good side!’. It all made for a FUN, LIGHT, and ADVENTUROUS session. I had SO much fun photographing these two together. We headed out to some family property of Leanne’s in Big Timber, Montana, where there was so much funky cool stuff…I was in photo heaven! I can’t wait to go back to Big Timber for their wedding this summer…it’s gonna be a BLAST! Thanks Leanne and Joe for being such great friends, dealing with all my crazy photography ideas, and for just being you!
These photos are VERY Beautiful!
