As some of you may know, I come from a pretty complicated family.  I have an older half-brother, Jim, with whom I share a mother.  His dad’s family has always been a part of my life, and we have always considered them part of our huge, complicated family.  It would take a whole blog post to explain the genetic depths of the family connections.  I’m telling you this because the Jansen family, pictured below, is part of this family connection.  Meet Nikki, Chad, and Skylyn Jansen.  They are my…well let’s just say they are my cousin’s on my brothers side (Is this all making sense???).  I’ve known Nikki my whole life, and you may recognize her from a photo shoot that I did quite a while back when Skylyn was just born.  Here we are, two years later, and Nikki is expecting her second baby.  Actually, she WAS expecting her second baby when I took these, but I’m happy to say that Nikki gave birth to Reeve Mathew Jansen on Saturday, May 8th at 4:19am.  He weighed 6 lbs 14.7 oz and was 20 3/4 inches long.  I haven’t had a chance to meet the little guy yet, but I know I can’t wait to do more pictures!  I hope you all enjoy these family pictures as much as I do, and CONGRATS Nikki and Chad!  You have the cutest little family!
